KEYS, Germany, March 2002, KEYS Readers-Award 2002
Frankfurt Musikmesse 2002: VSampler got the KEYS Readers-Award 2002 as "Best Shareware". Thanks a lot to the readers of KEYS!

Electronic Musician, USA, January 2002, Cover Feature "2002 EDITORS CHOICE"

"Our latest batch of award-winning products field-tested over the past year by our editors and a selected group of top authors."

Editors Choice Award Winner 2002 [Software Samplers]

KEYBOARDS, Germany, September 2001, Review
(translated from german) "Below the line it's unbelievable, how many features and how much functionality are included for this price; the VSampler will surely find it's home at many harddrives."

Future Music, UK, July 2001: as part of their "Top 40 software instruments" special, VSampler ranked 2nd at the "Top 10 samplers"
"In fact, some would say, that VSampler is the most mature sampling option on the PC to date. ... the most widely compatible sampler in this lineup ... up to 64 stereo voices all with sample accurate timing, a maltitude of effects and modulation options ... VSampler is a powerful beast that could go head-to-head with some of its hardware housemates and still come out on top."

Remix, USA, June 2001, as part of their article "Caught in the web"
"Maz-Sound's VSampler 2.51 is an incredible bargain, especially when you consider that only a few years ago you would have had to shell out at least a couple thousand clams to buy a comparable hardware sampler."

Chip, Czech republic, May 2001, as part of a VST instruments special
(translated from czech) "In direct comparison with S*****T*** we prefer the sound of VSampler ... and CPU load is quite low. But the main bomb is the price."

Computer Music, UK, December 2000: VSampler got 8 of 10 points and the 'smart buy' verdict
"Anyone who already used a sampler, hardware or software, will feel at home with this. It contains everything a 'proper' sampler should, from the realtime controllers (pitchbend, modulation) through to sample key tracking, filters, envelopes and velocity sensitivity; it can even import .sf2 and AKAI format samples. ... VSampler is an impressive package at a very attractive price. ... with no limit on the sample size and enough editing functions to contort them without spending an obscene amount of money, you're not going to find anything better."

KEYS, Germany, July 2000, as part of their 'Software Sampler' roundup
(translated from german) "Only the cheerful interface and low price hint at VSampler's shareware status, it's feature set equaling and sometimes surpassing that of much more expensive software samplers. The two integrated synthesizers, not just mere "extras", sound good, complimenting the samplers feature set perfectly. VSampler offers a lot and is without a doubt amongst the most flexible software synthesizers you can buy, and the fact that the price won't make you dig deep in your pockets is quite commendable."
